يتكون المشروع من سلسلة حوارات وورشات عمل فنية التي تتم أرشفتها وإتاحتها من خلال بودكاست ومنصة توثيق رقمية. يشكل المشروع نقطة بداية لأرشيف-بديل للذاكرات والذكريات العربية*-العربية* في برلين.
Arabs* in F(r)iction ist eine hybride Plattform, die sich mit Vorstellungen, Darstellungen und Reibungen arabischer* Erinnerungen in Berlin auseinandersetzt. Das Projekt fordert das Recht arabischer* Communities ein, selbst über ihre Geschichten und Repräsentationen in der Stadt entscheiden zu können.
Es besteht aus einer Reihe von Dialogen, künstlerischen Workshops sowie einem Podcast. Die gesammelten Erzählungen werden über eine digitale Plattform zugänglich gemacht, die den Ausgangspunkt für ein Gegen-Archiv arabisch*-arabischer* Erinnerungen in Berlin bildet.
Arabs* in F(r)iction is a hybrid platform exploring frictions and fictions of Arab* memories and representations in Berlin. The project engages with difference as a starting point and claims a right to agency for communities over their stories and representation in the city.
It consists of a series of dialogues and process-oriented artistic workshops that are archived and made accessible through a podcast and a digital documentation platform. It forms the starting point for a counter-archive of Arab*-Arab* memories in Berlin.
